Animal Portraits in Pastel Pencil

Instructor: Suzann Beck

Create a “head and shoulders” portrait of an animal or pet of your choice using pastel pencils—a forgiving medium that’s easy to layer and control. You’ll learn to transfer an initial drawing to pastel paper and build fur and feather effects. Attention will be paid to drawing accuracy and rendering light effect.
