Lisa Stauffer

Lisa Stauffer received her Master’s in Design at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and studied  Illustration at Parson’s School of Design in NYC.

She works primarily in pastels, teaches painting workshops, and competes in plein air painting competitions. Lisa achieved Master Circle status in 2011 and was awarded Eminent Pastelist status by the International Association of Pastel Societies in 2023. Her paintings won awards at the Pastel Society of America Show and National Arts Club in September 2010 and 2012, and were chosen each of those years by the Director of the Butler Institute of American Art for inclusion in the annual exhibit, "American Pastels". Lisa was juried into the Pastel Society of America and awarded Signature status in 2012.

Her work has been featured in articles in "PleinAir Magazine," "Pastel Journal," Stephen Dohertyʼs book, "The Art Of Plein Air Painting," and in two PBS specials on painting.
