I am an established artist and have been painting, teaching, and mentoring for over 20 years working in acrylics, mixed media, watercolor, and printmaking. My students include young children, teenagers, and adults of all ages. As a former clothing designer and patternmaker, I translate what I see in three dimensions onto paper using layers, contrast, color, shadows, and texture. I believe that anyone can make art with the right guidance and that teaching art begins with learning to observe what is all around us.
