Come take advantage of our easy lift raku kiln and dry stack smoke kiln. Fire using low fire or raku glazes, naked crackle slip, horse hair and feather decoration. Bring up to 4 pieces (no more than two 7″-12″ tall) ready for decorative firing. The pieces need to be bisqued and have glaze applied (if that is being used) by the firing day. Materials are available if you are signed up for a class or open studio time. This is intended for people with some clay experience. There will be only one instructor for the firing, so be prepared to load and unload your own work. Natural fabric, full coverage clothing and close toed shoes are required. There will be an information session approximately 4 weeks prior to the firing to answer any questions and to review available materials.
