Intro to Tile Making (FULL)

In this class you will discuss and examine some of the many ways to make and decorate tiles. You will cover making tiles with a slab roller, drying techniques, and how to keep the tiles flat. Decorating and design techniques include brushwork, inlay, mishima, sgraffito, stamping and carving bas-relief. Please come to class with a scaled drawing or image that you want to render on a tile or tiles.
