Grades 2-5:

Morning Session (9:30 AM-12:00 PM):

(Day 1 & 2) Tie-dying is a fun and fabulous way to add color to your life! Learn a little about chemistry and history in this Tie-Dye 2-Day Workshop with Erika Arndt while we tie and dye whatever you bring in! Participants should bring 5 items, 100% cotton, new or used, including t-shirts, aprons, hats, leggings, pillowcases, or tote bags. Everything else is included in this fan-favorite class, including washing instructions. Dress for a mess. (Day 3) Climb into a miniature kitchen and back up a fanciful feast in Polymer Clay Food with Erika Arndt! A picnic of PB&J, watermelon, and cookies, or a hankering for hot dogs or cheeseburgers and fries - and a milkshake of course! (Day 4) Try your hand at transferring paint from one medium to another in Acrylic Transfer Painting with Kristin Camp, creating bold lines and unpredictable backgrounds. We will experiment developing the artwork further by adding paint, chalk, color pencils and paper. At the end of class, everyone should have a take home piece of art.

With a little imagination, boxes and empty food packaging can be turned into art in Animal Sculptures with Pamela Hanson! Students are encouraged to imagine, problem solve, and create whatever they want using cardboard, tape, glue and paint. Materials will be provided but consider collecting clean recyclables to contribute to the inspiration pile. (Day 4) Climb into a miniature kitchen and back up a fanciful feast in Polymer Clay Food with Erika Arndt!
