SAORI is a contemporary hand-weaving style originating in Japan. It is a zen, therapeutic method of freestyle weaving without any rules or restrictions. It is this individuality and the uniqueness of each thread that creates these beautiful pieces. Students can bring the materials they would like to incorporate in their weaving project such as strips of fabric or handspun yarn.
