White Bear Center for the Arts seeks Youth Teaching Artists for Imagine Art Summer Camp for Youth. Imagine Art is a summer program that runs ten weeks from June through August; serving youth ages 5-14. Camps run Monday-Friday from either 9:30 AM-12:00 PM or 12:30-3:00 PM. Imagine Art instructors are responsible for implementing and teaching art classes that are imaginative, developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and fun! This program is artist-driven, and teaching artists are to propose their courses and curriculum based on their expertise and artistic style.

Teaching Artists are independent contractors.

 

Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children
  • Previous teaching experience in an arts setting
  • Advanced knowledge of your medium
  • A positive approach to handling classroom challenges

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in the arts or a related field
