Marcie Rendon, White Earth Ojibwe. Listed in Oprah’s 2020 list of 31 Native American Author’s to read, Rendon received Minnesota’s 2020 McKnight Distinguished Artist Award. Rendon and poet Diego Vazquez received the Loft’s Spoken Word Fellowship, 2017, for their work in county jails with incarcerated women. Sinister Graves, the third Cash Blackbear novel, became available Oct 2022, Soho Press. Girl Gone Missing and Murder on the Red River both received prestigious recognition. Stitches of Tradition, a children’s book, will be published by Heartdrum 2024. Pow wow Summer, children’s non-fiction published by MN Historical Press, 2017.
