Kirsten has been an artist and teacher for over 40 years. She was previously the program director at Marine Mills Folk School for 7 years and is now focused on slowing down and spending time doing what she loves to do. Kirsten owned Lila and Claudine's Yarn & Gifts in Mahtomedi with her sister for 10 years before it closed down in 2018.

Teaching is Kirsten’s passion, sharing what she loves in hopes that others will find as much joy as she does in making cool things. She has previously taught all things fiber and basket weaving. Her goal in teaching is to take something that might look difficult and break it down into small, easy, satisfying steps.
