Rhea O'Shion

Growing up in New Mexico surrounded by the art of Georgia O’Keefe, Frida Kahlo, and Maria Martinez along with countless antiques from around the world in our house, inspiration was all around me. While drawing and painting were my first loves, dancing and ceramic work connect me to the Earth in a special way. Currently I am raising two children, living in St. Paul, and teaching Studio Art and Ceramic courses full time at Washburn High school in Minneapolis. I started teaching at the White Bear Center for the Arts during the Summer. Creating flower petal installations has become one of my favorite summer activities.
