What’s your story? We all have one. Explore ways to get started writing a memoir, thinking about what you want to write about, why, and for whom. We’ll explore some memoirs, from early times to now, read some excerpts, learn why authors like John Steinbeck wrote to individuals, rather than a “target audience,” and who you might be writing to. Share your writing and get feedback from the group and the instructor. Bring a notebook or computer, and a pen or pencil.
