Exploring Underpainting for Pastel and Other Media

Play with the possibilities that a loose underpainting can provide for the foundation of your paintings. Experiment with different mediums to create colorful, textural designs to paint on from watercolor, oil stain, inks, and gesso. Bring photos, paintings, or field studies of what you love to paint.
