Drawing the Figure in Trois Crayons Technique

Instructor: Suzann Beck
Trois Crayons (French for “three pencils”) is a classic drawing technique using sanguine, black, and white chalk popularized by artists like Rubens and Watteau. Learn light and shadow values and render them with vibrant color harmony. You’ll draw from a draped figure model, exploring how this technique illustrates form and fabric. Drawing experience suggested but not required.
