Jump-start your writing life with short-form (flash) nonfiction. Study several columns, which publish stories of 1,000 words or less, including The Sun’s “Reader’s Write” and Modern Love’s “Tiny Love Stories.” Then write using their guidelines as prompts. Students will be encouraged to submit final stories for publication.
