Astonish Yourself During Poetry Month

Celebrate National Poetry Month by seeing everyday things in a new way and writing them down daily. It could be a kid in a grocery cart, a robin on a front lawn, or a wad of gum on the sidewalk. In the first class, discuss the practice of taking your notebook everywhere you go and writing down what you see. In the final class, turn your observations into poems, read them aloud, and get feedback.
