Studio Repose Internship Program Cohort 1 (2024)

Hannah Bradley Intern

Hannah Bradley

My name is Hannah, I'm a junior in high school, and I'm very interested in the arts, specifically drawing and printmaking. After taking nearly all the art courses offered at my school, I began to search for other art-related pursuits. I saw the poster for the Studio Repose Internship and thought it sounded like a great way to expand on my love for art. I was most excited to apply my knowledge to practical skills that I would be able to carry with me throughout my life and into future professional careers. This program has also provided a platform where I can get to know other people my age who share the same interests. I look forward to continuing to meet and learn from people experienced in art-related careers and to apply and expand my passion for the arts.
Bella Femrite Intern

Bella Femrite

My name is Bella! I’m a senior in high school, and I’m most interested in drawing and painting, but I also enjoy writing and graphic design. I’ve been taking art classes in school almost my entire life. I applied to be a part of Studio Repose because I want to pursue an art career, and this was a really unique opportunity to gain experience in that field as well as being the first of its kind in our area. I’ve been involved in art fairs at WBCA in the past that I found really enjoyable, and I’m very excited to get to know everyone that works here and be involved in working on their programs and events. Though, I'm most excited to learn from the other artists involved in this program—both the professional artists that work at WBCA and my fellow interns.

Tylor Johnson

My name is Tylor Johnson and I’m a senior in high school. A few of my interests include playing video games, sketching, learning new things, and spending time with friends. This is my first time participating in an internship as well as my first time experiencing White Bear Center for the Arts. I applied for this program because I had taken an interest in graphic design. I’m excited for all of the new things and people I will be exposed to through this program.
Cindy Meisinger Intern

Cindy Meisinger

Hello! My name is Cynthia Meisinger and I am a senior in high school. I have been attending WBCA classes since I was a little girl, and in addition with my mother’s love for crafts, I was introduced to the endless world of art. From my personal experience, I know that programs like Studio Repose have the ability to make teens' dreams feel real. The moment I found out WBCA was holding this internship, something that had been a daydream became a reality. I excitedly applied hoping to be a part of something that I’m passionate about. Being here now, I am absolutely elated to become a closer member of WBCA’s community and cannot wait to see where this internship brings me!
Sam Thein Intern Headshot

Sam Thein

My name is Sam Thein and I am 17 years old. I am a senior in high school and have been doing pottery for two years. Before starting pottery, I played sports and spent most of my time on the football field or basketball court. Coincidentally, as I started my sophomore year at school, I happened to take a pottery class, tore a ligament in my knee, and was temporarily unable to continue playing sports. My inability to play sports allowed me to put all my focus and energy into my pottery class. I followed a pattern of setting a goal, mastering it, and moving on to bigger challenges. Soon, I was creating quality pottery. I now have a pottery wheel at my house and am a member at White Bear Center for the Arts. I take pottery classes twice a week at WBCA and every day at school. I hope to someday teach pottery to others and I encourage everyone to try taking a class.
Ariana Vann Cook Intern Headshot

Ariana Vann-Cook

My name is Arianna Vann-Cook, and I am a senior in high school. From a young age, art has played a crucial part of my life. Frequenting art museums, and being immersed in different cultures and art forms has taught me the importance of expressing yourself. Literature is my favorite way to do so. Reading anything I can get my hands on, and writing whatever inspires me is a huge part of my identity! I was introduced to White Bear Center for the Arts through the WriteNow! Writing Contest my freshman year. Ever since then, my relationship with the center has grown tremendously. Earning publications, winning writing contests, and even testifying for WBCA are all accomplishments that wouldn’t have been possible without it. I am excited to explore different aspects of being an artist in Studio Repose, and learning more about life as an artist after schooling. Meeting other teenage artists is something I look forward to as well!
Izzy Yang Intern Headshot

Izzy Yang

Hi, I'm Izzy. I am a junior in high school, and I can't wait to learn more about WBCA. The first time I heard about WBCA was through my school counselor, and so I took the opportunity and applied as an intern. Ever since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to do something in the arts. I have boxes full of drawings and stories I created in my notebooks all the way back to elementary school. I enjoy writing fiction and occasionally draw 3-D characters. During my time at WBCA, I hope to bond with the community and express my fondness for writing.
