"I love painting and being outside in nature so plein air painting has drawn me in with its allure! I travel around and am always looking at my surroundings contemplating how I might set about painting what I observe. I often find beauty in the unnoticed sights that many people walk by each day without noticing the possibilities in the mundane. Most often what catches a painter's eye is dramatic light falling across a scene, on an overcast day it may be the rhythm and texture of a field or stand of trees that captures my imagination. Painting outside the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, maybe the insects are biting, the sun is warming your skin- it is a full sensory experience. I hope you can feel the day and enjoy them with me as you enter the scenes through my paintings." - Lisa K. Stauffer.
