White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) prides itself on being an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Since 1968, WBCA has provided access to the arts to people in the Greater Northeast Metropolitan Area surrounding White Bear Lake in Minnesota. The art center serves all ages and ability levels through quality programs and over 100 professional teaching artists year-round.

Led by artists, WBCA offers classes, events, and exhibitions that enrich the lives of thousands of people of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Annually, the art center serves about 10,500 adults and 6,500 children, many of whom are reached through outreach programs with over 50 partnering organizations.

WBCA is looking for talented Adult Teaching Artists who work in a variety of mediums to teach classes and workshops. Teaching artists are responsible for creating and implementing their own curriculum, and for providing a creative and inclusive environment in the classroom.

Teaching artists are independent contractors.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience in an arts setting
  • Advanced knowledge of your medium
  • A positive approach to handling classroom challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in the arts or a related field
