Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist master whose expressive brushwork and bold color palette redefined modern art. In just one decade, he produced over 2,100 works that laid the foundation for movements like Fauvism and Expressionism. Join this 2-part acrylic painting workshop as we explore Van Gogh’s journey to finding his unique artistic voice. We will specifically study the rhythmic movement of his landscape, Olive Trees, a highlight of the Minneapolis Institute of Art’s permanent collection. Together, we will analyze his use of line, texture, and composition to recreate the energy and emotion that make his masterpieces timeless.
