The Great WBCA Throw Down

We’re bringing “The Great Pottery Throw Down” to WBCA! Students will compete against each other on small-scale challenges that test a specific pottery skill each week and work towards a main challenge where the judges will name a “potter of the week.” Each week, there will also be a smaller-scale second challenge that tests a specific pottery skill.

Week 1: Create the main challenge.
Week 2: Trim & finalize the main challenge.
Week 3: Glaze the main challenge.
Week 4: Judging & high tea (with some throw down challenges). The judges evaluate the potters’ work and name the best-performing contestant “potter of the week!”
