Tori Poeschl
Tori was introduced to clay at the age of 13. She found it to be a source of expression, and it helped absorb and release stress and emotion from life. She started traveling at the age of 18 and was fortunate to get an artist residency in North Carolina at a clay studio, spending 2 years of intensive learning from many artists and teachers. She started a homeschool clay program and found that teaching was another facet of clay she loved. She eventually continued on to Kansas City, MO for another clay residency, and now has her own personal studio and teaches youth and adult clay classes at WBCA. Focusing on free expression, Tori’s work is a reflection of her changing environment and inner world exploring texture, mixing medias, creative alteration, and more. Engaging in intuition and exploration is centered in Tori’s work and style of teaching.

“Tori is a wonderful instructor and a very talented artist. She was very helpful; but also gave us the freedom we needed to work on our own. Tori has the amazing skill of appearing at your side just when help is needed :)” –Beginning Pottery
“Tori made the environment very calm and helped us enjoy the process, not just worry about the result. She did a great job!” –Beginning Pottery
