In October 2015, a study conducted by White Bear Center for the Arts in partnership with the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council and Minnesota Citizens for the Arts found that WBCA is a substantial industry, making an impressive $1.7 million economic impact in the region.
Creative Minnesota is comprehensive report on the creative sector and is an effort to provide more information about Minnesota’s cultural institutions and their relationship to quality of life and the economy. Creative Minnesota: The Impact and Health of the Nonprofit Arts and Culture Sector found that White Bear Center for the Arts supports the equivalent of 44 full time jobs in the city, and that 22,000 people attend the organization’s events annually. The City of White Bear Lake also benefits from an annual economic impact of $71.02 for every one of its 23,797 residents from the economic activity produced by the Center for the Arts.
