Sieng Lee
Sieng Lee is a visual artist. His work explores the intersection of his Hmong and American identity. He has a Masters of Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Lee believes that art and all its many functions should not be limited to formal aesthetics, but serve as a conduit for engagement and growth. Process and dialogue is what is important to him, rather than the artifacts produced through art making. Lee’s many accomplishments and awards include serving as Lead Exhibit Designer for the We are Hmong Minnesota exhibition at the Minnesota History Center, recipient of the Jerome Fellowship, and the MAEP (Minnesota Artist Exhibition Program) Artist at the MIA. He currently works at White Bear Center for the arts as an Artist-In-Residence.
