Sandcastles Contest

Because we can’t all come together to make sandcastles this June at WBCA’s annual ‘Castles and Creatures’ contest, this year WBCA is hosting an at-home Family Sculpture Contest. Click here for details.

2019 Sandcastles Contest:

Annual Sandcastles & Creatures Building Contest

Saturday, June 15, 2019
10 AM – Noon
Judging at Noon
Memorial Beach by West Park on Lake Avenue in White Bear Lake.

Gather your family and friends to build an original sandcastle, sand creature, or sand sculpture at the Sandcastles & Creatures Contest, as part of Manitou Days 2019. This contest is free and fun for the whole family! Registration begins at 10 AM with judging and prizes at 12 Noon.

Bring your own shovels, buckets, and sand carving tools. Please help us respect the environment: All materials used in creating the sandcastles and creatures that are NOT natural must be removed from the beach immediately following judging.

This free annual event is sponsored by White Bear Center for the Arts.

If you do not want to participate in the contest, you can still join in on the fun by creating a labyrinth in the sand with Mary Silvaroli Daul!
