M2W4 – Caricature Woodcarving Workshop

This woodcarving class will be devoted entirely to the setting up of a Face Stick and carving several faces over the two-day workshop. The rough-out for this workshop will be a 1 1/4″x12″ Basswood stick. Instruction will be entirely on the proper dimensions, setting up and carving of a proper face. Several examples of completed Sticks will be available as examples. This workshop is by request of former carving students.
Bring from home: SHARP set of hand carving tools, safety gloves, normal run of gouges, veneers, and knives that you are comfortable using (no power tools).
