Introduction to Stamp Carving

Learn the basic skills of relief printing by carving your own rubber stamps! Use your new stamps to create cards that you can send to friends. This fun workshop will give you hands-on experience with linocut carving tools that you can try out in class before purchasing your own set. This process uses a simple black and white line drawing or image to get started, so arrive with an idea that would be appropriate for a 3”x4” rubber stamp. Don’t be worried if you “can’t draw,” simple designs are perfect for this introductory session! Create abstract or geometric designs, or create a monogram or other symbol you identify with. The possibilities are endless!
