Introduction to Sgraffito

In this one-day workshop you will make pinch pots and hand-built vessels followed by learning the pottery technique of sgraffito using underglazes. Sgraffito in Italian means “to scratch.” We will be layering underglazes on our leather-hard pieces and scratching away slips to create unique images and patterns. Work will be fired and ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks. All levels welcome.
