Basket Weaving

This is an introductory class to the ancient art of basket weaving. The earliest evidence of basketry found was from approximately 8,000 BCE in Kenya, but we are tackling this art with materials of today. You will learn to weave reeds of various colors to create your own basket. Reeds, bases, bead accessories and a toolkit will be provided, and will be yours to keep. Wear clothes that are rough and tough, and please bring a yard stick and spray bottle for water.
