Doug Garder

Doug Garder has been teaching art classes at the college and community art center levels for forty years, and has exhibited his work in over seventy-five national, regional, group, and solo shows across the country. He taught foundations and history classes full-time at the Art Institutes International Minnesota in downtown Minneapolis for eighteen years, and before that at the University of Minnesota’s Fine Arts Department in the evening extension program, as well as art centers throughout the Twin Cities area. He received his MFA in Painting from West Virginia University in Morgantown, and his BA in Studio Art and English from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
