Come explore the smallest of all labyrinths, known as finger or tabletop labyrinths, and discover how these miniature patterns offer an ever present “path of possibilities” at your fingertips, to inspire art and a more artful way of living. Armed with only the simplest of art tools and a simple guide for drawing the classical labyrinth from its “seed pattern,” participants will move through drawing, “walking”, collaging, and journaling exercises designed to increase curiosity and creativity. Grounded in the ancient wisdom and ways of the labyrinth and a unique “labyrinth as life coach” approach, this class is designed to provide rest for your soles and awareness that all you ever need to journey on the path of the labyrinth is as close to your heart as your hand.

You will quickly notice an improvement in your work with the instruction and ideas you receive in this workshop. You will be personally coached and encouraged to develop or better individual skill and style. Come with an open mind and blank canvas to refresh your passion for painting. Subject matter is up to you. Starting a new piece is preferable but you may also bring a piece in progress. This is the perfect workshop to bring that idea that’s been haunting you to life or to start that big canvas you’ve always wanted to do. A small canvas is fine too! Enthusiasm and some experience are required for this class.

The word bead comes from the middle English word bede, which means to pray. We will talk about the origin and development of prayer beads throughout the world and how they are being used today. We will create a bracelet using a wide selection of beads including gemstone, glass and metal. The Circle of Life Meditation design was created by Sue to demonstrate the principles of sacred geometry that are present in many cultures. Each person will have an opportunity to talk about their bracelet and how they plan to use it. We will close by using the bracelets together.
