50th Anniversary

Dear Friends,

2018 was a milestone year as White Bear Center for the Arts celebrated its 50th anniversary! We collected your photos and stories to share our memories as we honored the art center’s past.

WBCA stands behind the importance of long-term sustainable relationships built on genuine respect for the creative, social and cultural spirit of each individual. Thank you all for being the heart of your art center.

“It Has Been a Very Good Year” Happy Hour

December 18, 2018

As 2018 began to wind down, WBCA hosted a happy hour featuring a short film by Steve Goranson. Steve creatively interviewed our members and helped to preserved the memories of those on whose shoulders we stand. Afterward, we celebrated the culmination of our 50th year with a lantern walk around the labyrinth.

The families and friends of WBCA celebrated 50 years of the art center on October 13 with crafts, games, food trucks, and more!  Live music by the Backyard Band filled the building as people wandered the gallery, feasted on Culvers custard and food truck food, and participated in art making activities.  We also dedicated our time capsule!
