Avenue of the Arts Festival

Lakeshore Players Theatre, Children’s Performing Arts, White Bear Center for the Arts and the White Bear Lake Historical Society are pleased to announce the AVENUE OF THE ARTS FESTIVAL!
 
On Sunday, September 12th, stop by the grounds of the Hanifl Performing Arts Center or White Bear Center for the Arts anytime between 12:00-5:00 PM to experience entertainment, art, food trucks, kid-friendly activities and more!
 
This free event will feature the following activities:
 
Teaching artists from WBCA that work in a variety of mediums including mixed media and pottery will be engaging in conversation and selling their art. Stop by and say hi to teaching artists Sue Swanson, Sylvia Benson, Clarice Allgood, Destiny Davison, Alex Chinn, and Louise French.
 
Clay
Check out pottery wheel demonstrations and participate in a hands-on clay experiment. Margie Jones and WBCA artisans will be there to guide you through a one-of-a kind experience.
Peace Poles – A Community Art Project
This is the perfect opportunity for artists of all ages and abilities to engage in a community art project. Socially distanced by 6-foot planks of wood, paint your hopes and dreams. Your plank will be joined with others, to form a painted garden sculpture which will be displayed on the new grounds of WBCA.
For the Youth
Japanese artist, Mayumi Amada, will lead kids in a fishing game using recycled materials, magnets, and an envelope.

  • Costume and Virtual Arts demonstrations.
  • Prop Making, Face Painting and Balloon Artists
