Zen and the Art of Slow Stitching

Emma Freeman

In this three-week class, we will explore elements of Zen philosophy that connect with the practice of slow stitching. We will create small stitched wall hangings and fabric meditation books using a variety of repurposed fabric and threads. We’ll invite in the energy of nature by incorporating stones, sticks, and sea glass into our pieces. There will be a blend of readings, demonstrations, time to create together, and prompts for reflections to deepen our art practices. This class is about slowing down and exploring the space where art making and spirituality meet.

This class will be a live meeting on Zoom. Click HERE for instructions on how to set up a Zoom account. After you complete registration, you will receive a link to your Zoom meeting in your confirmation email. Use this link to enter your class!
