Learn to transform wool into an adorable cardinal through the magic of needle felting. Whether you are completely new to this medium or looking to gain some new skills, this class will show you step-by-step how to work basic shapes into your own fun and unique bird. During these trying times, needle felting can feel especially therapeutic, as we repeatedly stab the wool with our barbed needles to create a cute, wooly friend in the process. You will even use wool harvested from sheep on Laura’s farm!
You will arrange to pick up a felting kit from White Bear Center for the Arts before class begins. *Kits make both the male and female cardinal, but we’ll focus on making just one during class.
Students will also need good lighting, a stable work surface, and a scissors.
This class will be a live meeting on Zoom. Click HERE for instructions on how to set up a Zoom account. After you complete registration, you will receive a link to your Zoom meeting in your confirmation email. Use this link to enter your class!
