In this immersive multi-day writing camp, we’ll explore what it takes to create a short piece of writing, from idea to finished draft. Over the course of three days, we’ll discuss how to begin a story, poem, or essay, how to keep it going, and how to complete it. Students will write a completely new creation over the course of our camp session, all while learning skills they can apply to all their writing projects. This class will be an imaginative, generative, and judgment-free space to create. Students will have in-class writing time, and will receive a writing prompt each day to work on at home. At the end of the session, students may submit their finished draft to the instructor for personalized feedback, and will have an opportunity for their work to be published on White Bear Center for the Art’s website!
