Drawing for Painters

Marc Anderson

Four out of five dentists agree that drawing is fundamental to healthy gums and successful paintings… or something like that. But much like teeth, our paintings should have a solid foundation, i.e. solid drawing. Too many sweets (I’m looking at you, colorist painters) and we start to run into issues. In this course, you will learn to use line, shape, form, perspective, and many other elements of drawing to create successful, beautiful paintings. This two-day workshop will include lecture, demonstrations, discussion, and opportunities to ask questions. Students will be assigned homework to create a plein air painting or work from a photo, and receive critique and feedback from the instructor via video upon completion of the painting.
