Learn how to paint beautiful, dramatic skies with authentic light from the comfort of your home! In this class, we will discuss how to paint clouds, sunsets, overcast days, and much more! We’ll also cover many painting fundamentals and how to utilize them to make your skies dramatic and awe-inspiring! Day one of the workshop will begin with a 30 minute lecture and slide presentation followed by a 90 minute demonstration by the instructor. Students are encouraged to ask questions during the lecture and demonstration. Day two of the course will begin with a 15-30 minute discussion. This will be followed by a 90 minute demonstration highlighting any questions students might have from the first day’s lesson. Students will then be given a homework assignment of creating one sky painting either from life (en plein air) or from a photograph. Once they email a photo of the painting to Marc, he will record a video critique in Photoshop where he can make edits and give thorough feedback. The video critiques will be made available to students once complete.
