In his native Minneapolis he taught watercolor painting and illustration at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
In addition to painting he teaches a workshop on mindfulness, titled Drawing In Stillness. While DIS leans on drawing as a device to settle the mind it is designed for non-artists. A follow-up shop is an introduction to journaling. He lives in Denver, Colorado.
