Craig Blacklock’s photographs immerse you within his images. You feel as if you are flying along side of eagles, standing mere feet from deer, and could reach out and touch the foregrounds of most of his landscapes. Craig will discuss the making of his most recent book, video and traveling museum exhibition, ST. CROIX & NAMEKAGON RIVERS — The Enduring Gift, from planning his trips, to his daily routine, to specific techniques he uses to achieve that “immersive” quality to his images. Craig will offer tips and tutorials on stacked focus; panos; stacked focus panos; drone images; done panos; and drone video, as well as wildlife photography, including blending in different skies to create optical illusions that trick the viewer into believing they are closer and higher than they otherwise would. Participants should bring 3 of their own images (highest quality file you have of the image, such as a layered Photoshop document) on a USB stick to the workshop for a critique.
