Color Theory – Part II: Applying the Theory

Catherine Hearding

In Basic Color Theory we learned about color palettes, mixing color, color schemes and understanding pigments. We learned about the tools of Value, Intensity and Color Temperature. But how do we put these concepts to work in a real painting? This class will refresh your memory on the theory and each week we will tackle a specific painting problem and learn to solve that problem using our tools from Color Theory.
Prerequisite: Basic Color Theory
