Alcohol Ink Painting for Beginners

Debra Dresler
Join the fun and bring family and friends for an exciting painting event. This art ink medium can be used to create glowing paintings, gorgeous ceramic tiles, and more. Unpredictable, wildly colorful, vibrant inks are used on non-porous surfaces including metal, plastic, glass, Yupo paper, and tile. The possibilities are endless! The colors are fluid dye mixed with rubbing alcohol that can be used full strength for intense bursts of color or diluted for a subtle look similar to watercolor washes. The colors are intermixable and can be brush painted, dripped, splattered, stamped and air blown. This fun class will introduce you to the medium by crafting 2 ceramic tiles. Framing and finished options will be discussed. No painting experience required. $15 material fee paid to instructor for use of all her art supplies, 50 colors of ink, tiles and other equipment. Everything you need. Bring an apron or wear old clothes.
