Rings, Rings, Rings!

Kim Bakken-Parr
Using Precious Metal clay (clay composed of silver particles, water, and an organic binder) students will be able to create the ring of their dreams. You will initially start working with polymer clay to become familiar with tools, textures, and techniques. This clay is rolled, shaped, and molded to get the perfect ring. Using PMC, students will form their ring on a mandrel. There is no hammering, sawing, or soldering. The final rings are all 99.9% pure silver, called “fine silver.” All tools and materials are supplied by the instructor; just bring a lunch and your creativity!
