All About Beading

This introductory class covers the tricks for basic jewelry making. Students will learn about using basic tools, stringing materials, findings, glass beads, semi-precious gemstones and pearls and finishing techniques. Each participant will make a necklace or pair of earrings.

 Basic Wire Wrapping

Learn how to link beads together using wire. This class covers tools of the trade, different types of wire and gauge, wire wrapping and looping techniques. Each participant will make a wire wrapped bracelet using base metal, copper, or sterling silver with glass beads. Bracelet kits will be available for purchase to use in the class. Kits include wire, beads, and a
clasp.

Jewelry Making Open Studio

This class will help you put all your jewelry making skills together. We will discuss different design elements including color, texture, size, and shape of beads. We will also look at the most popular semi-precious gemstones to make a necklace that is truly your own. Pendants will be available for
purchase to use as a design element for creating your one of a kind masterpiece. Tools will be provided by instructor or feel free to bring your own beads and supplies. Each participant will make a necklace 16-18 inches in length. Tools needed: Chain-nose pliers and sidecutters.
