Founded in 1968, White Bear Center for the Arts (WBCA) is a non-profit community art center serving people of all abilities and generations. WBCA offers art classes, showcases exhibitions from a diverse range of artists, and connects the community to art resources.

Swetha Avula

Swetha Avula has a love for arts. Her studio allows her to continue working independently where she paints and writes about painting. Her works are noticeable by their intense colors, detail, symbols and personal expression. She is an artist, teacher and founder of Acrylic Studio Art.

Bonnie Dordal

Bonnie has been a basket weaver for over 9 years. When she learned weaving in Tucson, AZ, she also sold them at an art gallery. Her baskets are one of a kind, creating them as she weaves.

Erik Vevang

Erik has been spoon carving since 2013 and teaching greenwood spoon carving since 2015. Introduced to carving by his wife Michele, Erik and Michele have taken numerous carving classes and been featured in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine as Makers of the North competition. Spoon carving has been the perfect way for Erik to explore the intersection of art and craft. Erik currently hosts classes in spoon carving at the Audubon Park community center in Minneapolis and at Marine Mills Folk School.
