Kim Bakken-Parr

With an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and a Master’s Degree in Teaching, Kim Bakken-Parr knew experimenting and teaching was the perfect fit for her.  Working with metal clays such as Precious Metal Clay, Bronze Clay, and Copper Clay exposed her to this awesome new art medium and working with a kiln and variety of power tools.  Chain Maille, fused glass, and then stained glass also became a natural extension of her experimentation.  Kim and husband Lee Parr teach a variety of art classes at community art centers and colleges throughout the state of Minnesota.  Some of her favorite sayings are: “have kiln, will travel” and “power tools are a good thing”. www.cahching.com
